Hazards Of Our Top 10 Most Popular Foods :: Health Risks
There are hazards in consuming too much of our most popular foods and too many people either ignore the risks that follow high consumption of processed foods, or don't realize there are any risks at all!
Our most popular foods come from the isles of our local grocery stores, the fast food breakfast on the way to the office, the quick take out lunch on the run, snacks mid afternoon and oh, who's got time to prepare supper ... take out anyone?
We are bombarded by so many advertisements telling us to expect positive lifestyle results from processed foods ... that make our life so much easier. One thing is true, they do make it easier, just not better! If they are so good for us, why are so many people sick today ... the allergies, fatigue, low energy, weight, diabetes, cancers, heart disease and so on?
The fact is, our local grocery stores and fast food restaurants are stocked with thousands of items we should for the most part avoid eating! Yet is is so hard to avoid them, they are everywhere, they're designed to taste so good and commercials are constantly telling us these highly processed products are good for our modern lifestyle.
Given all the ills they create, perhaps the only thing these processed foods are really good for is increased sales of over the counter and prescription medications that suppress the symptoms of an abundant diet, low in nutrient rich foods.
Processed foods are not real human foods, they are engineered, produced and marketed to appeal to our most ancient tastes for more sodium, sugars and fat
The problem is, the human body simply can not cope with the excess sodium, sugars & fat!
The products that come in boxes, cans and bags ... at best they should be rare treats and at worst, with frequent consumption they clog our insides and rob us of energy, our good health and leave us with symptoms like weight, fatigue, low energy headaches, aches & joint pains, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and so much more.
Unfortunately, every day we see the results of the processed foods in our children's health.
If we shopped the perimeter of the market (and we should), in the fresh produce and wellness sections looking for natural whole grains (NOT refined wheat), legumes, dairy (NOT mechanized milk) and free range meats, non-farmed fish while avoiding the flashy inner isles containing the processed and packaged foods (which happens to be just about all the isles), we would eat food our body actually could process and utilize ... and we would look, feel and be much healthier.
But we are a fast food nation ... and we have our most popular foods!
Consider what our top 10 most popular foods offer us (please exclude convenience).
